Thomas is founding partner of Digital+ Partners, a venture capital firm focussing exclusively on B2B growth investments in software and technology based in Munich/Germany. Thomas has extensive experience in the origination and execution of principle investment strategies and in various board functions.
Prior to founding Digital+ Thomas was Chairman of the Board of HQ Capital, a German-based leading alternative asset manager. He was an interim senior manager at the Soros Economic Development Fund in 2014. He was board member and later Chairman of Sirona Dental Systems and remained on their board after the merger into DentspySirona. Prior to this Thomas was a partner at Permira, heading the chemicals sector and supporting Permira´s growth outside Europe. Before Permira, Thomas worked for 10 years for McKinsey (Germany & Brazil) and for JP Morgan (Germany & US).
Among his philanthropic duties, he is on the investment committee of the Social Venture Fund, Munich and on the advisory councils of Ashoka Germany and SAIS Europe (John Hopkins University).
Thomas holds a PhD in economics and an MBA from University Saarbrucken, Germany.
